

Scottie Ali Russell was born on November 21, 1978 in Houston, Texas to Raymond and Jeanette Russell. Scottie was born the fifth of eleven children born to this union. Scottie Russell attended M. B. Smiley and graduated from Kashmere High School. He also graduated from San Jacinto Central College with an Associates of Applied Science degree in Non Destructive Testing (Certificate of Technology). He was known as an avid problem solver, especially when it came to working on cars. He often would help family and friends with their car issues, going as far as researching and studying various vehicle repair manuals. Scottie held a CDL as an OTR operator and supported himself, and his family, in this profession for many years. He greatly enjoyed spending time with family, and took much pleasure in outdoor activities like fishing and traveling. His favorite ice cream was Butter Pecan, his favorite color was blue, and appreciated all genres of music. Scottie was also a faithful Houston Rockets fan, and attended many games with his brothers. Scottie leaves behind: his children Asiah Jeanette Russell and Scottie Ali Russell II; goddaughter Phaedra Russell; his parents Jeanette and Raymond Russell, Sr.; his seven brothers Edmond, Phillip, Raymond Jr., Shawn, Michael, Lafayette, and Elijah; and sisters Jeanifer, Charlomaine, and Rachell along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. 2 Corinthians 5:8- We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.
