? Sherwood Thomas Farris, the oldest of four children was born on February 14, 1959, in Houston, Texas, to the union of Adam and Annie Lois Farris He gave his life to Christ at a young age and was baptized at Bethel Baptist Church in Frierson Louisiana. He was a student of Houston Independent School District and graduated from Kashmere High School in 1977. Sherwood faithfully worked for Metro Transit Authority as a Transit Operator for 32 years. He happily retired from Metro in 2017 and enjoyed retirement to the fullest and stayed up to date on current events, developing his land, taking care of honey do’s. He cherished talking to family and friends while seeing “what they were working on!” He met the love of his life at Fellowship Baptist Church in May of 1977. Sherwood and Pam united in holy matrimony on January 25, 1986. Three children were born of this union, Brittany Danielle, (Deceased) Joshua Adam and Jacob Warren Farris. Their marriage was also blessed with Sherwood’s oldest son, Christopher Isaiah Carter and his special daughter Ravion “Lady Bug” Houston. Sherwood loved nothing more than his family. Spending time with his wife, whom he loved dearly, and grooming his boys to become men were his highest priorities. He delighted in sharing wisdom with anyone who would turn a listening ear to the knowledge he accumulated over the years. Listening to his records and driving to his expansive land, in which he invested in at a younger age, were hobbies he treasured. Daily, he would soak up facts about sports, news and politics, which he loved to discuss and debate with his family and friends. Sherwood’s precious memories are cherished and honored by his wife, Pamela Farris, three sons, Christopher Isaiah Carter, Joshua Adam Farris (Kariss) and Jacob Warren Farris (Kaiya).
