

Theo Perry was born in Saint Maurice, Louisiana to John and Jane Sneed Perry. He was the youngest out of seven children. His Family moved to Houston, Texas where he was baptized at Damascus Missionary Baptist church, where he later be came a faithful and loyal member for years. Until in 2013 when he joined Trinity Missionary Baptist Church where he also attended faithfully. When he turned 18 he signed up for the US Navy in 1943. He was aboard the USS Wateree (ATF-117) which went to sea for the first time July 14,1944. Where he was on sea for 10 months and was honorable discharged in 1946 after serving 219 days. Just a few years later he ran into a gorgeous lady named Hilda Norman which after 3 months whom he married and they where together for 66 years (1949-2015). From that union they brought about 4 children Hilda Ann Perry, Theo Joseph Perry, Jr, Hilda Marie Perry, Jr, & Joan Ann Perry. He did everything from landscaping to running Mr. Perry’s Washeteria and retiring from Hydrilto even starting up a baseball team for the children in his neighborhood. During the holidays he would make fruit baskets and personally deliver them to every elder up and down the block. To cherish his memory he leaves: his children Theo Joseph Perry, Jr, (Lavine), Hilda Marie Perry, Jr, and Joan Ann Perry; 9 Grandchildren ( Tim, Josh, David (Patricia), John (Vanae), Derrick, Reginald (Chantella), Michelle (Eurall), Theo III ( Marvette) & Chris (Phoebe); Thirty-five Great Grandkids; seven Great Great Grandkids. He has gone to meet those who have preceded him in death a wife, Hilda Marie Perry; a daughter Hilda Ann Perry; his parents John Perry and Jane Perry; his sisters Bessie Hongo, Hazel Newsome, and Velma Watson; brothers Johhnie Perry, Murl Perry, and Woodrow Perry.
