

Lydia Marie Kinchen (Williams) began her journey in Farmerville, Louisiana by way of Saginaw, Michigan and Houston, Texas December 15, 1957 to (Father) Clayton R. Williams, Sr. and (Mother) Bertha M. Williams in the beginning stages of her life. Her spiritual life commitment began at an early age as an active member of Gospel Way Missionary Baptist Church until her health failed. Lydia graduated from Dallas W. Carter High School in Dallas, Texas in 1975 following in 1976 attending the University of Houston majoring in Business by way of completing Massey Business College in Accounting which led to her employment with the Houston Independent School District for 28 years. In 1981, God sent her a Man (Michael Williams) and they were married. Years later, she married Kenneth W. Kinchen in 1992, whom she preceded in death. She is preceded in death by her sister Donetha T. Atkins. Lydia leaves to cherish her loving memories: her loving parents Pastor C. R. Williams, Sr. and Bertha Garrett; stepmother Edith M. Williams; loving daughter Mickalondria D. Williams; granddaughter Lauren Mone’t Williams; brothers and sisters Marilyn D. Williams, Clayton Williams, Jr., Jeffery T. Williams, Devona L. Williams, Benjamin Williams, Pastor Steven O. Williams, Dennis Thompson, Connie Mitchell, Gail Williams (Frank) and Sharon Nation and a host nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
