

Esther Prater Hardy and Nathaniel Hardy in Vallejo,
California. She grew up in the early years of her life in
Seattle, Washington along with her older brother Ronald
Hardy.
She accepted Christ at the age of 7. Sister Audrey was
baptized in March 1964 at Oak Hill MBC by Rev. Elijah J.
Thomas and remained a devoted servant to our Lord until
her death on September 9, 2024, after a long illness.
She attended grade school in Seattle, Washington and
Santa Rita, Guam, graduating high school at Point Loma
High School in San Diego, California. She attended college
at University of Houston majoring in English. She later
received a Bachelor’s degree in Missionary Education from
the Inter-Baptist Theological Center followed by a Master
of Missionary Education from Conroe Baptist Theology
Institute.
Sister Audrey served in several offices at Oak Hill Baptist
Church from March 1964 until 2002 when she began to
have health challenges. While at Oak Hill Sister Audrey
served as Church Clerk, President of Jr. Mission, Teacher of
Sr. Misson, Director and Teacher of Church School.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Nathaniel &
Esther Prater Hardy and stepfather Johnnie Brinson as well
as her dear brother Ronald Hardy.
She leaves to mourn her brothers: Glynn Hardy (Vickey),
Rev. Chauncey Hardy (Rose), Randy Hardy (Renee) and
Alex Hardy. Sisters: Gretchen Price, Sonja Hall, Ardenna
Hardy, and Albertha Courtney (Eric); Her foster children:
Grant, David, Maurice, Oleevya, Lavel, Candace, Lillian,
Willie, and Lauren (Will) a host of cousins, uncles, aunts,
nephews, nieces and friends.
