
Nan Mills, age 80, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025. Born on September 10, 1945, Nan lived a life marked by authenticity, conviction, and by a timeless sense of style.
Nan married young to Dave O’Connor, with whom she welcomed two children, Kelly O’Connor and Stephen O’Connor. In later years, she found enduring partnership and companionship with Gene “Bill” Mills. Together they shared 42 years of marriage.
Nan was known for her keen observations and wry sense of humor that was best appreciated by those who truly knew her. She spoke her mind freely, held firm opinions, and approached life on her own terms. A carefully chosen outfit and a mug of coffee were familiar parts of her daily presence.
She found joy in reading, gardening, and thoughtfully decorating her home, creating spaces that reflected her taste and attention to detail. Animals were a constant presence in her life, and her final and beloved companion was Stanley, a small dog whose energetic and quirky personality brought her great happiness.
Nan leaves behind a legacy of individuality and unmistakable character that will be deeply missed.
