Nancy Arango Solarte

Nancy A. Solarte nació en Colombia el 23 de diciembre de 1954, hija de Angélica Vergara Figueroa y Marco Tulio Arango. Creció en Popayán, Colombia con sus seis hermanos y dos hermanas. Conoció a su primer esposo, Nobel Eduardo Solarte, en Popayán, y se casaron en 1977.

En 1978, emigró a Estados Unidos. Poco después, pudo traer a su esposo. Tras un tratamiento intensivo y prolongado, pudo concebir a su primera hija, Nohelia Solarte. Desafortunadamente, su esposo, Nobel Eduardo Solarte, sufrió un accidente fatal antes de que naciera la niña.

Pasó un tiempo y conoció a Romulo Alberto Bermudez. En 1992, tuvieron un hijo, Alexis Romulo Bermudez. Despues de 33 años juntos, decidieron casarse en 2019.

Nancy era una guerrera, luchadora y trabajadora. Su primer trabajo en Estados Unidos fue en el Holiday Inn Hotel, donde permaneció durante 15 años. Después trabajó en el Hotel Marriott durante cuatro años. En 1995, logró comprar su casa y se mudó a trabajar para el Distrito Escolar Independiente de Klein, donde se jubiló después de 22 años.

Nancy tuvo la dicha de pasar tiempo con sus nietos y bisnieto. Tenía un corazón enorme, siempre con una sonrisa que iluminaba el universo. Le encantaba bailar y su buen sentido del humor siempre nos hacía reír.

Nancy A. Solarte was born in Colombia on December 23, 1954, to her parents, Angelica Vergara Figueroa and Marco Tulio Arango. Nancy was raised in Popayan with her six brothers and two sisters. She met her first husband, Nobel Eduardo Solarte, in Popayan, and they married in 1977.

In 1978, she immigrated to the United States. Soon after, she was able to bring her husband over. After intensive and lengthy treatment, she was able to conceive her first child, Nohelia Solarte. Unfortunately, her husband, Nobel Eduardo Solarte, had a fatal accident before the baby was born.

Some time passed, and then she met Romulo Alberto Bermudez. In 1992, they had a son, Alexis Romulo Bermudez. After 33 years together, they decided to get married in 2019.

Nancy was a warrior, a fighter, and a hard worker. Her first job in the United States was at the Holiday Inn Hotel, where she stayed for 15 years. She then went to work at the Marriott Hotel for 4 years. In 1997, she managed to buy her house and moved to work for the Klein ISD, where she retired after 22 years.

Nancy had the joy of spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandson. She had a huge heart, always with a smile that lit up the universe. She loved to dance, and her good sense of humor always made us laugh.
