Naomi graduated from Reagan High School in 1941. During the war, she worked at Mossler's Acceptance Company. On February 14, 1944 she was married to the love of her life, Thomas E. Curran, who was on leave from the Navy.
After World War II, they settled in Houston and had 3 children, Tommy, Craig, and Judy.
Naomi was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Republican Women's Club, and the Quilt Toppers of Bayland. She was a people person with a sweet spirit. Naomi was a kind, gracious, joyful, gentle and a most positive person who was always quick with a smile. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. She will be greatly missed, but will live on in our hearts. We will have sweet memories of her forever.
She is survived by her children, Bret Thomas Curran and his wife Sharon, Craig Douglas Curran, Judith Curran Perry and her husband John; grandchildren Brandon Thomas Curran and wife Jennifer, Alana Gibran Himel and husband Kevin, Jennifer Elizabeth Hicks and husband Brandon, and 7 great grandchildren.
We would like to thank the caregivers at The Hampton at Meadow Place, as well as Star of Texas Hospice for the care and compassion they showed our mother in her final days.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Star of Hope.
