Naomi Ward

in San Antonio, TX surrounded by her children. She was born June 12, 1918, in

Shawnee, Oklahoma, to William Walter Brant and Leona Mae Brant. She married Morgan

Ward in 1937, and he preceded her in death in, 1987.

Naomi graduated from Shawnee High School. She worked at First Baptist of Houston for

25 years blessing the lives of children through sharing her love and faith. Naomi

better known as MeMa was blessed on many occasions to be told of the influence she

had on the lives of the children she cared for while at First Baptist of Houston. She

was a very active mother raising 3 children and managing the home she shared with

Morgan.

She is survived by two sons, M. Brant Ward, and David Ward, one daughter, Rebecca

Ward Hansen, six grandchildren, Jason Ward, Sunday Fischer, Erik Hansen, Shane

Hansen, Cody Ward, and Devin Ward; six great-grandchildren; and two surviving sisters

Waltrene Scarborough and Juannel Beauford.

The funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.

Entombment will follow in Memorial Oak Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 11 to 12
