He was born on February 1, 1974 to Alan Braly and Kathleen Nelson in Kremmling, Colorado. He was raised with love by them, along with his stepmother Marilyn Braly. He was thrilled when his younger siblings John and Elizabeth were born. His early years in Colorado were filled with snow skiing and lots of outdoor activities.
He graduated from Woodward High School, where he played baseball and football, along with cornet in the band. Nathan earned a degree in Aviation at Oklahoma State University, where he was a member of FarmHouse fraternity - though he remained an avid Sooner fan!
In 2006 he married his beloved wife, Melissa, and in 2018 they welcomed their daughter Sasha Knight Braly. Sasha was his greatest blessing.
He founded Houston Roofing & Construction and like most things he turned his business into friendships and family with co-workers, business associates, and customers. He brought his energy and passion every day to the business along with his black lab and loyal sidekick Rudy. Nathan had a love of flying and all things aviation. He enjoyed flying to see family, friends, football, and for golf adventures. And golf adventures…..there were plenty! Nathan loved music and playing guitar, enjoying an impromptu singalong with friends and family. But playing for Sasha and watching her dance was his favorite thing.
The loss of Nathan cuts deep for those who knew and loved him. He will be missed more than words can say.
Nathan is survived by his wife, Melissa Braly, and daughter Sasha, of the home, his mother, Kathleen Nelson, of Austin, Texas, his stepmother, Marilyn Braly, of Norman, Oklahoma, his brother, John Braly, and his wife Alison, also of Norman, his sister Elizabeth Burghart and her husband Jason, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, his mother- and father-in-law, Jan and Mike Milton, of Empire, Oklahoma, his sister-in-law Nicole Reynolds, and her husband Adam, and their children, Jillian and Evan, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and his grandmother, Margarita Braly, of Yukon, Oklahoma, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Nathan was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Dr. M.K. Braly, his father, Dr. Alan Braly, and maternal grandparents Walter E. and Ethel M. Nelson
