She was born in San Antonio, Texas on January 29, 1924 to Celia and Genaro Baldit and married Alfonso Mendoza on September 25, 1942; they were married for 75 years.
Nora was a housewife and mother to her three children Betty, John, and Evonn. She was the president of the Parent Teacher Association during the time her children were in school and was a member of The Worship Center.
She is survived by her children Evonn Ellis and John Mendoza; nephew and niece Gilbert and Melba Mendoza; grandchildren Natalie Harris, Nicholas Spurdis and wife Kassandra and Joshua Harris; great grandchildren Colson and Piper Spurdis; and brother Rudy Vasquez.
Nora’s husband Alfonso passed away in 2017 and her daughter Betty Harris passed away in 2019.
Per the family’s wishes, the family asks that everyone attending please wear masks and practice social distancing for everyone’s safety.
In leu of flowers the family is asking that donations to be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
