Norma graduated from The Sure Foundation Theological Institute with a Doctorate of Biblical Studies.
Norma had many jobs in her life: her first was pumping gas, back when the gas was pumped for you. She worked for Photo Murals where she developed the moon landing photos and original Astrodome photos. She was a school teacher. She was a supervisor for WIC in Montgomery County in the '80's. She was a reporter for the Tomball Magnolia Tribune, where her diligent investigative journalism on the Mayor of Magnolia uncovered falsehoods, forcing him to resign. She was even interviewed by Houston’s own Marvin Zindler. Before retiring, she was the office manager for MCYS (Montgomery County Youth Services).
She loved being adventurous and traveling. She took many cruises, including a cruise of the Mediterranean and one to Alaska with her favorite southern gospel vocal group, the Gaither's. She also jumped out of a perfectly good airplane a month before she turned 71.
She was an ordained minister performing multiple marriages, but her passion was children. She was a children's pastor for many years. In the 1970’s, she assembled her own Vacation Bible School in the front yard, welcoming all the neighboring kids, and although she lived in the country, the children would quite literally come out of the woods for her VBS. She loved them so much.
