

Wayne was predeceased by Sylvia Davis Rigdon who was his wife of 47 years. Surviving family members include his wife Mildred “Millie” Ware Rigdon, sons Robert Rigdon and John Rigdon, grandchildren Michael and his wife Phoebe, Daniel and Isabella “Bella”, step sons Steven Ware and his wife Stephanie, Hayden Ware and step daughter Elizabeth Rocha and her husband Paul and step grand children Michael, Michelle, Tommy and Reese.
Wayne served his country as a member of the USAF 12th Radio Squadron Mobile. Later he earned a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Virginia in 1965 and was employed by Texaco Research in Port Arthur, TX and Texaco Inc. in Houston, TX for 30 years. During his career he was awarded several patents related to lubricants and polymers.
Wayne was also an avid guitar player and an outdoorsman who loved bass fishing and hunting. He is a member of Windwood Presbyterian Church in Houston TX.

Cypresswood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Houston, Texas.
A visitation for Orville will be from 5-8 P.M., Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. A service celebrating Orville’s life will be Wednesday, February, 1, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Concluding services Orville will be laid to rest at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
