Olivia Ramirez Cruz, age 76, was born Apr. 28, 1934 and passed away Dec. 12, 2010 after a brief battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Jacinto G. Cruz, Jr. and grandson Leonard Cruz, Jr. She is survived by her children; Leonel Cruz and wife Eva, Leonard Cruz and wife Carmen, Lawrence Cruz and wife Michelle, Linda Cruz Nolty and husband Randall, and Laura Cruz Salazar and husband Juan, her treasured grandchildren; Christopher, Christian, Cheryl, Lewis, Brittany and Brooke Cruz; Sara and Samuel Nolty, brother; Aurelio Ramirez, sisters; Emma R. Cortez and husband A. Francisco, Berta R. Vela and husband Eduardo, her beloved nieces, nephews, and friends and her trusted dog, Jake. Olivia loved gardening, baking, family and friends. She helped others and had a giving spirit. Visitation will be held Fri. Dec. 17th from 5 to 8 pm with a rosary to begin at 7 pm. A funeral service will be held on Sat. Dec. 18th at 10 am at the Chapel of Forest Park Westheimer funeral home, with the interment to follow. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Houston Food Bank.
