Osler Barron Wheat

Buddy graduated from Klein High School in 1955 and began working at Cameron Iron. Buddy had a career as a Machinist at Action ENT for a very long time.

He had met Carole Faye during high school, they later married on November 23, 1955. In April of 2008 Carole Faye went to be with the Lord. Buddy met and married Marilyn Scott on September 11, 2009. The Lord gave them several years of happy times together.

Buddy was a hard-working, fun man that provided well for his wife and three daughters, Robin, Donna and Debbie. He had a passion for hunting and sports. I don’t know if everyone liked Buddy, but no one ever said anything bad about him.

He is preceded in death by parents, Roy and Christine Wheat; sister, Betty Lou Lyons; wife, Carole Faye Wheat.

He is survived by wife, Marilyn Wheat; Sherrill and her husband Wayne Gafford, Charile and his wife Rachel Scott, Robin and her husband Philip Dunn, Donna and her Husband Mike Gaskin, Debbie and her husband Larry La Freniere; nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren, and many, many friends.

Serving as pallbearers, David Allen Davis, Larry La Freniere, Joseph Dunn, Glenn Gaskin, Mike Gaskin, Philip Dunn, Charlie Scott, and Travis Davis. Serving as honorary pallbearers, Wayne Gafford and Doyle Tatum.

A special thanks to Ms. Lee and to the Total Loving Care Hospice Facility and to all the great nurses and aides.

A visitation for Osler will be held Friday, September 22, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Friday, September 22, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A graveside service will occur Friday, September 22, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Brookside Memorial Park.
