Born November 23, 1928 in Norias, Texas, he was a man who lived by his own rules, without limits, and fearless. One of his greatest joys in life was working on the King Ranch and J.A. Ranch as a ranch hand and breaker of horses. A true cowboy at heart he was a man who understood the value of hard work, and diligently working into his 70s. Pablo loved to dance and never missed an opportunity to go enjoy a good conjunto band. For several years he had his own club named Los Tres Diamantes and featured his band El Conjunto de Pablo Bentancourt. Later in life he became a truck driver and machinist. Never one to miss an opportunity to be with family and friends, being the center of attention, he would tell jokes and make everyone around him laugh. Whether it be singing or laughing his voice will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Herlinda Cadriel Bentancourt; and his children, Maria Ester Rivera, Lionel Bentancourt, Ruth Cadriel Bentancourt, and Belinda Stuart. He is survived by his children Pablo Bentancourt Jr., and Esperanza Hope Ramirez. Pablo was blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
