Patricia -- known as “Trish” in her younger years -- was born on the 18th of June 1950, in Columbia, Missouri and raised in Lubbock, Texas. She attended Monterey High School and Texas Tech University and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She lived a vibrant life in London, England, New Providence, New Jersey and ultimately in Houston, Texas which she proudly called home for over thirty-five years.
Patricia had the heart of a servant and impacted the lives of so many, through her volunteer work but also simply through stepping in to fill a need when she saw one. She made meaningful contributions through her time and efforts to St. Martin’s Episcopal Church’s Altar Guild, Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church’s youth program, Bo’s Place, The Star of Hope, The Junior League of Houston and many more. She impacted countless lives with her selflessness, providing joy, affirmation and love for so many. She was a dedicated mother and raised four children in the Lord, serving as a role model and as a creative, spirited maker of memories. Patricia had a gift for celebrating others and helping others believe in themselves, a key part of her legacy.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of twenty-six years Peter Klaus Lind, and her parents Mary Louise and David Hudgins Pinson.
She is survived by her husband Michael Allen Higgins; her daughter Amy Elizabeth Taylor (Emma Louise McIlroy) and their son Jude Taylor McIlroy; her son Clay Marshall Taylor (Catherine Lee Taylor) and their children Clayton Knight Taylor, Caroline Elizabeth Taylor and Crawford Marshall Taylor; her daughter Meredith Lind Turner (Langston Wilcox Turner) and their children Mary Helen Turner, Wilcox Pinson Turner and Tennessee Louise Turner; and her daughter Katherine Lind Paxton (Matthew Colby Paxton) and their children Hutchison Lind Paxton, Tucker Daniel Paxton and Molly Meredith Paxton; as well as her siblings Sheila Pinson May, David Hudgins Pinson, Jr. and Michael Joseph Pinson and their families.
