

Patricia Katherine Threatt was a cherished daughter, sister, and friend., a beloved resident of Houston, Texas, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the age of 43. Born on March 25, 1982, in Houston, Texas.
She is survived by her loving parents, Susan S. Threatt (Susy) and George Edward Threatt (Ed); her brother, George Edward Threatt, Jr. (Kerri Elizabeth), and her adored nephews, McIntyre Edward Threatt and Drennan Thomas Threatt. Patricia also leaves behind her grandmother, Sally Slick, her uncle Steven Slick (Aunt Mary Lou Sahd-Slick), and cousins Kathrine Ann Slick, Jack, and Luke; William Way (Carrin); along with many other cousins. Her friends, Donna Wilson, Betsy, Peter, and Christie Hanson; Special Olympics coach, Lisa Ward; and best buddy, Ryan Dole, will miss her dearly. Patricia’s other mother and dear friend, Marlene Espey, and her "brother," Evan Espey, also survive her.
Patricia was preceded in death by her grandparents, Patricia Katherine Slick (Nana), William Thomas Slick, Jr. (Pappy), Ruby Lee Threatt (Grandma), George W. Threatt (Grandpa); and her sister, Mary Threatt.
A proud graduate of The Monarch School and Institute, Patricia was a Special Olympics superstar, earning multiple medals in various sports. Her Team Texas won the gold medal in volleyball at the World Games in Greece in 2011. Patricia was employed at Starbucks for 15 years, completed an internship at the School for Young Children for 3 years, worked as a hospitality associate at NRG Stadium for 3 years, and served as an office assistant at the Monarch School for 2 years.
Her hobbies included participating in Special Olympics sports such as volleyball, golf, and tennis. She found joy in making sports blankets for loved ones and friends, attending sporting events, concerts, and cheering on her Aggies and LSU. Patricia enjoyed learning to gourmet cook and loved to buy all the seasons of TV shows she enjoyed, watching them repeatedly. She was known for her self-sufficiency, independence, and ability to make friends everywhere she went, never meeting a stranger. In 2017, Patricia wrote, produced, directed, and starred as Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz production at the Monarch School.
Patricia loved to play games like chicken foot and hosted her friends every year on her birthday at Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant, her favorite place to eat.
The family invites all family and friends to join them at Patricia’s services. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 3rd, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and a memorial service will take place on Tuesday, November 4th, at 10:00 AM, with a reception immediately following at Earthman Funeral Directors, located at 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77024.
