Patricia Ramirez Vela

Patricia R. Vela, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully in Humble, TX on March 15, 2025 at the age of 78. Born in Totatiche, Jalisco, MX, she was known for her unwavering love and dedication to her family.

Patricia always put her family first and taught us the importance of family. She conquered many goals she had; two that she was most proud of was learning to speak English and became a United States Citizen. She dedicated forty plus years of Childcare with Chapelwood and St Andrew's Church; it was her calling to serve this heritage from the Lord. She was a pillar of strength and a source of joy, and her memory will be forever cherished.

Patricia was preceded in death by her children, Sylvia Ramirez Lucio, and Francisco Ramirez Lucio; parents, Francisca Ramirez Carreon, Margarito Ramirez Bobadilla; siblings, Esperanza, Manual, Cruz, and Guadalupe Ramirez Carreon.

She is survived by our father, Francisco Vela Jr.; her daughters, Diana Fernandez, and Silvia Vela; grandson's, Darius and Dante Longoria; siblings, Cristofina, Julia, Eulalia, Francisco (Pancho), Salvador Ramirez Carreon, along with numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and other relatives.

A memorial service for Patricia will be held Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
