Paul was a lifelong Houstonian: born in St. Joseph Hospital to the late James Bryant and Hallie Mae Wilson, graduated from Robert E. Lee High School, and earned a B.S. in Technology from The University of Houston. He later completed a Master's of Business Administration from Letourneau University, and spent more than 25 years working locally for Wurth Louis and Company.
Paul was long devoted to his church --- First Baptist Church -- where he ushered, helped out in the nursery, and supported the Upward Sports ministry. And he was devoted to all-things sports, especially auto racing, football, soccer, and baseball.
Above all, he was totally invested in his family, centered by his late wife Betty Dudley Wilson, with whom he shared a deep and abiding love, mutual affirmation, encouragement, and laughter. Their children Chris and Kaitlyn flourished in that love.
Paul -- Mr. Paul, Pop Pop, and Peep to some -- seemed always to wear a smile and have a kind word for others. He was known for his selflessness, generosity, hardworking spirit, and a kind heart. Paul was, as the Bible says, “a good and faithful servant.”
He was preceded in death by his parents and by the love of his life, Betty Dudley Wilson. He is survived by his daughter, Kaitlyn Dudley Anderson and her husband Mark; his son, Christopher Bryant Wilson; and his grandson, Austin Everett Anderson. He also leaves behind his sister, Sherry Lynn Matthews and her husband Don; his brother, James Michael Wilson and his wife Pam; as well as nieces and nephews: Stephen Craig Matthews and his wife Reyna and their daughter Taylor, and Melissa Kori Willborn and her daughter Brooke.
