

Pauline Claire Morin, born June 28, 1925 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts peacefully passed away at age 89, on Saturday June 20, 2015 in Houston after a series of medical problems. Pauline, husband John and their 3 sons, left their Fairfield, Connecticut home to live in Houston during February 1958, when the venetian blind company John worked at transferred to Texas. The Morin family was one of the first members of St Ambrose Catholic Church. Pauline volunteered in the religious education office at St Ambrose for a few years, and then was hired as a full time employee. She worked for 30 years at St Ambrose and retired. She had also been a member of the Brookwoods Garden Club and was President for a few years. Some of the trees on the esplanades along W. T.C. Jester, south of 34th that were planted by her and the garden club are still growing. She and her husband traveled to 49 states and British Columbia in a converted van during retirement, taking lots of photos and making enjoyable memories.
She was preceded in death by her husband John P. Morin, and her parents, Thomas and Marguerite Antil. She leaves behind, her sister Jay Elliott of Clearwater, FL. Son John and wife Sharon of Houston, her son Robbie of Houston, and son Wayne and wife Jan of The Woodlands. Also surviving are her grandchildren Suzette Groh and husband Tim, John L. Morin and wife Tonya, Jennifer Brand, David Brand and wife Dawn, Kristen Morin, Joshua Morin, and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces along with 10 great-grandchildren, who will all miss her smile and laughter. The family would especially like to thank her new friends at Ashford Gardens and its loving and caring staff, and also the Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care Team, for their care and support during her stay at Ashford Gardens.
Visitation will be held Thursday June 25 beginning at 5pm in the Chapel of the Garden at Pat H. Foley & company Funeral Directors with a Holy Rosary at 7PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday June 26th at 11:00 AM at St Ambrose Catholic Church 4213 Mangum Rd. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens 1101 Antoine. Family and friends are invited to a gathering after committal at the St Ambrose Church Auditorium.
