Where to start, I do recall the very first time that I face to face met this across the street neighbor!  Doorbell rang, opened it and there stood Pauline and Sarah Elizabeth.  After that, we were frequent companions, walking buddies, parenting buddies, swimming, beach, zoo, museums, picnic, Astroworld, Six Flags, you get the idea.  Later on drinking buddies on the porch.  The times we had I have always cherished.  What a sweet lady - someone who will always hold a very, very, dear place in my heart and soul.  

So many memories to choose from for the woman who taught me to make the best darn stinkin grilled cheese in Texas, but I will choose the strictest rule she created for my best friend and I while we matured. We were not to cuss, and to Mrs. Pauline, fart was the cruelest word of all. Only the term toot was allowed, and Sarah, we used it every chance we got, didn’t we? You taught me many things, great soul, from hospitality to bravery and I thank you. Even more so I thank you to the friendship  and safe havens that you not only provided my grandmother and my mom, but the one you provided to Sarah and I. I am forever grateful. 

So sorry for your loss girls. I remember the first time your Uncle Gene introduced me to his sister, your Mother. I thought this is the most beautiful girl i had ever seen. She turned heads where ever she went. She was always a friend to me thru the years. Our last conversation was 2 weeks ago. I will miss her. She taught me a lot of things.  She was like a big sister to me and i loved her for that, since i had no family of my own. Let God be your guide and bear your sorrow. That's what she would want. Love you Polly.
