Pedro Aguilar, Sr., age 84, returned to our Lord on May 12, 2024. He was born October 13, 1939, in Butte County, South Dakota to the Rosebud Sioux Tribe. He resided in Houston, Texas, and was cherished by his parents Roy & Juana Aguilar.
Pete was a retiree of 31 years of General Electric. He received his License of Chemical Dependency Counseling from the University of Houston and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers local union 716. Pete loved woodwork and steelwork, spending time with family enjoying sports, gardening, and good conversation. He was a God-centered, faith-filled, and sober-minded man who shared his strong-willed, big-hearted, loving, and fun spirit with anyone he encountered. Pete was very smart, hip, slick, and cool with a great sense of humor. A devoted father whose pride and joy were his grandchildren and great-granddaughters. This is the legacy he leaves for his adored family.
Pete had a passion for helping others; loved to share his life experiences, strength, and hope. He left an impact on his community by being an advocate for sobriety through the fellowship of AA.
He is survived by his wife Aurora R. Aguilar; sons, Pete Aguilar, Jr., Gabriel Angel Aguilar, and Roy Anthony Aguilar; daughters, Conception Aguilar, Cynthia Ann Aguilar, and Cristina Marie Torres; grandsons, Jason Robert Aguilar, Matthew Alexander Aguilar-Torres, Jonathan Martin Aguilar, Gabriel Emmanuel Aguilar, Joseph Anthoney Torres, and Christopher Maximus Martinez; granddaughters, Gabrielle Elise Martinez, Moriah Chloe Martinez, Romalinda Carissa Martinez, and Aaliyah Aurora Aguilar; great-granddaughters, Avery Sophia Torres and Catalina Rose Torres; along with extended family members, Michelle Aguilar, Ruben Torres, Nathan Skelton, Aida Trevino, Mandy Bonilla, Aime Torres, Analisa Ferguson, Renden Ferguson and David Ancira.
