PERCY W. (BILL) SCHUMACHER, Jr., age 86, loving father and devoted husband, passed away Monday, May 20, 2013. A native Houstonian, he was born on March 28, 1927. Served in U.S. Navy during WWII. Graduate of Texas A&M class of 1947. Worked at Reed Tool Company (now part of Baker Hughes) where he held numerous patents in drilling bit design. Retired as Research Manager in 1986 after 37 years of dedicated service. Bill was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing and golf, but his greatest passion was spending time with the family, and the love of his life, his wife Joyce.Bill is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joyce; sons Steven, Bruce & his wife Sandy, and daughter Sandra; grandchildren, Stacey Todd & her husband Kyle, Chad Larsen & his wife Chelsea, Kirk Schumacher & his wife Jennifer, Lacey Street & her husband Huston, Bryan Bennett, and Kimberlee Sturrock & her husband Chris; great grandchildren, Trey & Knox Larsen, Kason & Kannon Todd, Ripken & Ryder Street and Kiptyn Sturrock. Visitation will be held Monday, May 27, 2013, at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Graveside services will be held at Brookside Memorial Park Cemetery on May 28, 2013 at 2:00 P.M.
