Priscilla Minster Layton

Priscilla Ann “Bunky” Minster Layton of Houston, Texas passed away peacefully on Friday, June 7, 2024 at the age of 84. She was born on March 12, 1940 in Houston, Texas to Loren John Minster and Edna MaVon Potter Minster.

She is survived by her sister Dorothea Minster Rhea, her daughters, Michelle “Miche” Broussard (Keith) and Tracy Wells (Danny) and son, Robert “Rip” Carroll (Sharon). Also survived by grandchildren, Gene Broussard, Kyle Broussard, Jenny Laflin, Lauren Ybarra and Jakob Ybarra.

In her teens and early 20’s Bunky was a professional singer. She left the music business to raise children, but she continued to be the “fun” in a room full of people. She will be missed by all those who knew her.

The family would like to thank Willow Fork Alzheimer’s Special Care Center staff for the care, compassion and friendship they showed Bunky over the last few years.

Graveside service will be at 10:00 am Thursday, June 27 at Forest Park Westheimer. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Grand Baby Project
