

Rafik Mouris Ibrahim, age 44, lost his battle with pancreatic cancer and passed away on November 2, 2024.
The beloved son of Mouris and Magda Ibrahim, Rafik was born in Cairo, Egypt on November 18, 1979. In 1980, Rafik and his family immigrated to the United States when he was just 10 months old. He grew up in Houston, Texas and became an all-star athlete in football and baseball at Alief Hastings High School, where he graduated in 1998. Rafik received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Houston in 2010. He was a dedicated and high performing Real Estate Manager of Acquisitions and Disposals at Halliburton, where he worked for over 12 years. Rafik was appreciated and admired by all those with whom he worked.
A lover of sports, Rafik took every opportunity to attend the Houston Astros, Rockets and Texans games. If there was a game on television, he was tuned in to watch it. He also enjoyed being physically active with runs at Memorial Hermann Park and workouts at Life Time Fitness. Rafik was passionate about his work and enjoyed mentoring others. He cherished time with his daughters, family, friends and work colleagues. Rafik found beauty in life’s simple moments and encouraged others to do the same.
Rafik, a beacon of unwavering friendship and kindness, has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. He walked through life with a gentle strength, touching the lives of everyone he encountered with an unforgettable grace. The depth of love and happiness he shared will forever remain in our hearts.
Rafik is survived by his beloved daughters, Nyla Ibrahim-Strong and Jiselle Strong along with their mother, Sharon Strong; his parents, Mouris and Magda Ibrahim; his brother, Ramy and his wife Kelly Ibrahim; his sister, Jennifer and her husband Anthony Mekhail; his nephew, Bishop Ibrahim; his nieces, Jameson Ibrahim, Vaughn Ibrahim, Hannah Mekhail and Helena Mekhail; and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service for Rafik will be held Friday, November 8, 2024 at 12:00 PM St. Mary & Archangel Michael Coptic Orthodox Church, 7030 Lakeview Haven Dr, Houston, TX 77095. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service from 2:00 PM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home & Cemetery, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079.
