In 1931, he was born in Brownsville, Texas to Fabian and Maria Cleofas Sauceda. In his youth, he lived in Mexico where he grew up and then as a young adult returned to Texas.
Ramon married in 1967. He was preceded by Maria Sauceda, his loving wife of thirty years. He is survived by his daughter Maria and her husband Rubin II, his daughter Marta, his son Felipe and his wife Tania, his daughter Veronica, and his seven grandsons: Christian, Fabian, Rubin III, Matthew, John, Marcus, and Jacob. He is also survived by his sisters, Maria Gonzalez and Mrs. Morales.
He worked for thirty years for the City of Houston. He retired in 1996.
Ramon belonged to Los Vasallos de Cristo Rey from Our Lady of Guadalupe. He was also a cursillista De Colores. He and his wife would continue to meet with these organizations.
He was well known by the Spanish Catholic Charistmatic community and for many years led the Spanish prayer group at St. Patrick Catholic Church of which he was a parishioner. Before his stroke, he visited and attended other Charistmatic churches around the Houston area. He attended daily mass at Holy Name and on Wednesdays enjoyed services at the Charistmatic Center. He was a minister of the Liturgy and read during Mass.
In his latter years and until his death, he lost his mobility and speech although he was still of sound mind. He was tenacious in making known his wishes to stay at home. This was only possible through the dedication of his caregivers, Marisol and Joel.
