

Random “Walter” Ellisor, III, age 81, left us to be with our Lord & Savior on January 26, 2012. Walter was a native Houstonian, born on August 19, 1930 at St. Joseph Hospital. He graduated from San Jacinto High School in 1949 and furthered his education at the University of Houston where he was a member of the KDK. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy; aboard the USS Bairoko. Walter worked as a wholesale florist for San Lorenzo for over 30 years; then later co-owned Transhipco, Inc. He enjoyed barbqueing and vacations with the family at the beach house every summer. Walter was always a loving caregiver in one way or another. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Wanda Sanders Ellisor; father, Random Walter Ellisor Jr.; mother, Marguerite Herrmann Ellisor; step mother, Floy Ellisor; infant son, Jason; son-in-law, Lanny Perry; brother-in-laws, Don Jr., & Tommy Sanders, and sister-in-law, Margie Scott. Walter is survived by his sons, Randy and Michael W.; daughters, Pamela Perry and Elisa Ellisor; grandchildren, Wally Ellisor, Megan Poulides & husband Nick, Ryan Perry, Mark Davis, Jr.;great granddaughter, Amelia Poulides; sister, Margery Gray & husband Jimmy; sister-in-laws, Dora Plagen & husband Truman, Verna Poole & husband Larry, Martha Provenzano & husband Johnnie, and Delores Sanders, many nieces, nephews and his life-long best friend, Gene Porter. Special thanks to all doctors and staff at West Houston Medical Center and Coryell Memorial Hospital. A heartfelt thank you to The Meadows, Gatesville,TX. and to the Odyssey Hospice. A visitation will be held in the Main Chapel of Forest Park Westheimer, Monday, Jan.30th from 12-2 pm with the funeral service to begin at 2pm. Deacon Corney Llorens will be officiating. Interment will immediately follow.
