

Randy Wade Thomson was born on July 31, 1960 in Houston, TX, to Fred Edward Thomson and Loretta Janet Harness. His life ended on November 1, 2017, after his motorcycle was struck by another vehicle in Northeast Houston.
Randy lived in Houston all of his life, and he attended the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts as a media student specializing in photography. He was married to his childhood friend Mary Frances Van Fossen for 25 years and they shared three daughters, Elizabeth Marie Amelia Brown, Katie Ann Thomson and Megan Christine Thomson. He took pride in his family and was a loyal husband and father. Randy was a natural swimmer and had a passion for sailing. He loved adventure and believed in living life in the moment, free of regrets. He enjoyed cooking for others, wine-tasting, dancing, riding motorcycles, and science fiction.
In his life, Randy was a beloved brother, father, partner and friend. He will be greatly missed by by his children and their partners Joe Alavi, Ram Perez, Michael Zepeda, his ex-wife Mary, his sisters Debra Faltisek and Jerri Lindemann, his brothers-in-law E.J. Faltisek and Dale Lindemann, his nieces and nephews Ashley Faltisek, Kathy Sulak, and Elliot Sulak, his friends, and his work families at Apache.
Randy was forever giving to others and he continued to give even after his passing. Through Life Gift, he was able to provide bone and skin tissue donations for trauma patients. It was his wish to be cremated instead of a traditional burial.
Please join Randy’s family for a celebration of Randy's life in a gathering at Bridgewater Events on Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm.
