Rhea Beth Jared

Rhea Beth Jared, 75, of Houston, Texas passed away at 5:25am on April 26th., 2026. She was born in Houston, TX on January 5th, 1951. Rhea graduated from Southwestern Business University in Houston, TX on June 12th., 1970. Rhea had a career as a Paralegal and worked for Weatherford International for many years. Rhea was a congregant and active participant in Resurrection Metropolitan Community Church in Houston, TX for as long as she was physically able. Her church and community were near and dear to her heart. She loved singing in the RMCC choir. Rhea loved and was involved in many arts and crafts from making beautiful stained glass pieces and pottery sessions with family to Renaissance Fairs, drum circles and many, many cruises, which she loved sharing with her grandchildren and other family and friends. Rhea was always there to lend a hand. She was a loyal, loving person, mom, sister, grandmother and friend that you could count on. She changed many lives for the Better. She will be sorely missed.

Rhea is survived by her former spouse, Georgette L. Monaghan, her sisters Marie, Lynda and Paula, her children Sean and James and her grandchildren, Austin, Morgan, Sho, Garrett and Connor.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Resurrection MCC Gathering Place, 2025 W 11th Street, Houston, TX 77008, on May 23, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
