Richard loved vintage cars and was the proud owner of a 1968 Camaro that he showed off at various car shows. His favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys. You could get him going after a Cowboys’ game loss by telling him how poorly they played. He would defend them until you gave up. He so loved the Dallas Cowboys that his Man Cave was decorated with nothing but Dallas Cowboy memorabilia. Richard was also very proud of the construction work he supervised. He was precise and always made sure that the work was done perfectly. Most of all, Richard loved to dance to Tejano music. Most weekends you would find him and his wife Myrna at the VFW in Dickinson, Texas dancing the night away. Everyone would be mesmerized by his dancing moves. He also loved dancing the Twist with whomever would get out on the dance floor with him. Richard will be most remembered for making everyone laugh. He could turn any situation into a comical one that had everyone laughing. He was the life of the party. Because of his humor, he easily made friends wherever he went. Richard was a good husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, brother-in law and friend.
