Richard Allen Crane went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 19, 2018. He was born on July 23, 1944 in Elkhorn, Wisconsin to parents, Walter and Adeline Crane. He was united in marriage to Rita Crane on May 20, 1989.
Richard was a devoted and loving husband to Rita Crane, and a proud father to Rick, Shannon, Joseph, Clifford and Philip.
Richard lived his life with joy. He loved with his whole heart and never met a stranger. He had many passions, a few of which were travel, bowling, playing dominos and barbequing with his family. He always enjoyed a spirited political conversation. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
He devoted his life to serving the Lord and was a faithful member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church where he served on the Finance Committee and was part of the Extraordinary Ministry.
He leaves to treasure his precious memories: His devoted and loving wife of 29 years, Rita Crane. Daughter, Shannon Moss and husband Shane; four sons, Rick Crane and wife Dawn, Joseph LeMelle and wife Mylene, Clifford LeMelle, Philip LeMelle and wife Maribeth. Sister Bonnie and husband Jerry and three brothers, Robert Crane and wife Sue, William Crane and wife LuAnn, Gerald Crane and wife Janice; Ten grandchildren, Nicholas, Cheyenne, Isabella, Nicole, Cherie, Courtney, Josh, Chassadie, Chelsie, Philip. Ten great grandchildren, Lindsey, Laila, Cory Caleb, Kyle, Trace, Lacy, Philip Jr., Sophia and Ava as well as host of friends and other family members.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM; and a funeral mass at 1:30 PM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 527 S Houston Ave, Humble, Texas 77338; with a repast to follow at Humble Civic Center, 8233 Will Clayton Pkwy, Humble, Texas 77338.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Adeline (Grubb) Crane and Walter R. Crane.
