Richard Hidalgo

Richard Hidalgo, 72 years old, passed away August 12, 2021in Houston Texas, his home of over 40 years. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy serving in the Vietnam war. He is survived by his beloved wife Cecilia Hidalgo, step daughter Valerie Escareno, Martha Baylor, mother to his daughters Brandy Vargas (Hidalgo) and Adrienne Thomas (spouse Erika Thomas),, grandchildren Asher, Seth, Nicholas, Valerie, Loghan, Brayden, Kellen and great grandson Christopher. Richard is survived by his brother Henry Hidalgo of San Antonio Texas, his sisters Anna Hidalgo and Gloria Villagran of San Antonio, and many nieces and nephews and extended family friends and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Guadalupe Hidalgo.

Mr Hidalgo owned Lone Star Maintenance for 38 years. He was the a light in so many lives. Enjoyed his days on the golf course and fishing. There was nothing in this world he would not have done for his family or friends.

A visitation for Richard will be held Monday, August 23, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A committal service will occur Monday, August 23, 2021 from 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A reception will occur Monday, August 23, 2021 from 1:45 PM to 3:45 PM, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A celebration of life will occur Monday, August 23, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
