Bobby and  I were teammates on several high school teams. He was a joy to play with in football and baseball at Southwest DeKalb High in Decatur, Ga. I always respected the way He conducted His life as we grew together. We were both Commercial Airline Pilots for many years. May God bless His family in a time of loss and sadness.

I send my prayers and deepest condolences to the Debardelaben family. I have spent the last two and a half years taking care of Mr Robert, as his caregiver. We spent our mornings either laughing, arguing or both, but it was always a good time. He told great stories about his life and always took interest in my son’s high school football life, as well as his own grandkids who played sports. I will miss his presence, his voice and that smile he would give me on a daily. You will forever be in my heart Mr Robert, you lived a great life and fought a good fight, now take your rest in God’s presence…..

Jewell, family and friends:

I am so sorry for your loss.  Bobby became my best friend when I was six years old when my family moved in next door to he and his family.  We were playmates and friends as we went through Elementary, High School and Clemison University together.  He was one of the best-all-around-athletes that I have ever known.  His good character and good looks were equally as good.  He will be missed by all.
