Robert Edward “Bob” Schroeder, 81, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 in Katy, Texas. He was born and raised in Damariscotta, Maine. He was the son of Paul and Althea Schroeder. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, JoAnne Schroeder; and sister, Nancy Dziedzic. He is survived by his children, daughter, Charlotte Wiggins with husband Robert; sons Michael, with wife Beckie, Robert, with wife Janet, Matthew, with wife Rhonda and Quentin, with wife Tonya; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; siblings, sister, Diane Hutchinson; brother Paul Schroeder; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was a dedicated member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors Local 31, and retired 1993. Very active within his local union, serving as president, Executive Board, and as an instructor for many years.
Services will be held at 1:00pm, with viewing from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr St, Hemphill, Texas 75948, 409-787-3331.
A local memorial service will take place at 2:00pm, Friday, June 19at Pat H. Foley Funeral Directors, Houston, Texas.
