A proud native Texan, Bobby was the son of Richard G and Earlene Teague. As a young man, he learned the value of character and the importance of responsibility. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout, one of his proudest achievements. He was also a talented football player.
Bobby served honorably in the US Army during Vietnam. His service reflects his commitment to duty and country. After returning home, he began what would be a 55-year career with DeMontrond and Sam Montgomery. His exemplary loyalty and work ethic earned him the respect of his peers.
For 40 years Bobby was a member of Bammel Church of Christ. His faith in God was central to his life. Those who knew him recognized him as honest and loyal, a man whose word could be trusted and whose heart remained open to others.
Throughout his life, Bobby had many hobbies, from fishing and photography earlier in life to collecting coins and baseball cards in later years. He enjoyed all things sports, his favorites being football and his beloved Astros. Outshined by these was the joy he found in helping others. Bobby was always eager to lend a hand, cheerfully pitching in no matter what the chore or need, he just enjoyed helping people any way he could.
Bobby’s greatest joy came from his family. He is lovingly remembered by his sons Chuck (Angie) Tipton, Bruce (Morgan) Teague, and Craig (Yasmine) Teague; his brother Richard A Teague; and his sisters Patsy (Fred) Dunlap and Teresa Davis; Grandchildren Blake, Elijah, Paige, Jonas, and Karissa; as well as many nieces and nephews. Although he has joined his parents in rest, the legacy he leaves behind continues through those who knew and loved him.
