

Robert K Wark, Jr. passed away on December 13, 2012. He is survived by his loving and devoted companion Joyce Eveld; his siblings, Cletus, Orrick and Nettie Mae; his children Patricia Wark and her friend, Jackie Douglas; Janet and Mike Fourticq; Robert K. Wark, III and Monica and Dan Ryan. He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren Michael Fourticq, Ted Fourticq, Jessica Evans, Joshua Wark, Jesse Wark, Morien Wark, Drew Wark, Bryce Wark, Hannah Wark, Maggie Ryan and Eleanor Ryan and his great grandchildren Taylor, Trey, Coco, Ava, Miles and Mae Fourticq, Fletcher and Allison Evans and Alexandria Carpenter. Mr. Wark was preceded in death by his wife of many years, Maurine Wark.
Mr. Wark was born in Beaumont, Texas on October 23, 1917 and moved to Houston where he later married and raised his family. He graduated from St. Thomas High School in 1936 and attended the University of Houston. He served in the Pacific Theater in World War II. He is a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show, a past Grand Knight of Council 803 of the Knights of Columbus, past President of the National Association of Plumbing, Heating, Cooling Contractors, and past President of the Downtown Optimist Club. He and Maurine founded Village Plumbing and Home Services in 1946. He was a volunteer whose service included Meals on Wheels, Ronald McDonald house and the Boy’s and Girl’s Harbor along with numerous other organizations.
The family will receive guests on Monday, December 17th at Earthman Funeral Home at 8303 Katy Freeway from 3-5pm. A Vigil Service will be held for Bob starting at 4pm. Funeral services will be at 10am Tuesday, December 18th at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 2140 Westheimer. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
Mr. Wark requested donations be made Boy’s and Girl’s Harbor in LaPorte, Texas or to your favorite charity.
