Robert Owen Wesling

Robert was born in Buffalo, N.Y. on July 10, 1927. After attending Fosdick Masten high school, Robert received a Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern University. After working for the State Department and traveling the world, Robert came home to Buffalo where he became a social worker, helping children and the elderly. Robert was first and foremost a family man, dedicated to his wife, Mary of 51 years and their 4 children. He loved to travel, read and tend to his garden. Robert was known to his family and friends for his energy and zest for life!

Robert was the son of Albert Wesling and Alice Gillen Wesling and younger brother to Truman, Alicia and Albert Wesling. Robert was father and grandfather to Marianna and Morgan Williams. Robert is survived by his wife, Mary Otoka Wesling, 3 children, Anne Marie Dykas, Molly Wesling-Starks and Erin McTague and one grandchild, Katelyn Dykas.

In remembrance of Robert, a graveside service will be held on Monday, November 11th at 2 PM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home at 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston TX 77079, tele – 281-497-2210. Family and friends may remember and share stories about Robert at a post service luncheon.
