Con profundo amor y tristeza, compartimos el fallecimiento de nuestro querido Rodolfo De La Cerda, quien partió al cielo el 11 de abril de 2026, a la edad de 75 años, en la tranquilidad de su hogar. Su partida deja un vacío inmenso, pero también un hermoso legado de amor, generosidad y dedicación a su familia.

Rodolfo nació el 28 de julio de 1950 en Piedras Negras, México. Desde muy joven comenzó a trabajar para apoyar a su familia, demostrando desde entonces el gran corazón, la responsabilidad y la nobleza que lo caracterizarían toda su vida.

Con cariño, muchos lo conocían como Rudy. Disfrutaba profundamente de la compañía de sus seres queridos, vecinos y amigos. Era de esas personas que encontraban felicidad en los momentos sencillos: una conversación, una sonrisa, o simplemente observar la vida pasar desde uno de sus lugares favoritos. Tenía un espíritu curioso y un gusto especial por coleccionar objetos con historia —monedas, fotografías, libros, botellas— cada uno con un significado especial para él.

Quienes tuvieron la dicha de conocerlo lo recordarán como un hombre bondadoso, generoso y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Su corazón siempre estuvo abierto para los demás.

Pero, sobre todo, Rodolfo fue un hombre de familia. Un padre amoroso, un abuelo orgulloso, un protector incansable y un ejemplo de fortaleza. Siempre puso a su familia primero, trabajando con dedicación y amor para darles lo mejor.

Le sobreviven sus hijos, Rodolfo De La Cerda y Rogelio De La Cerda; su hija, Georgina Rodríguez; su hermana, Irene De La Cerda Smith; y su hermano, Porfirio Guillermo De La Cerda. También deja a sus ocho queridos nietos: Victor, Denisse, Cassandra, Cynthia, Rogelio, Crystal, Darian y Evan, además de bisnietos y sobrinos que continuarán honrando su memoria.

Rodolfo será profundamente extrañado, pero vivirá por siempre en los recuerdos, enseñanzas y amor que dejó en cada uno de nosotros. Su vida fue un regalo, y su memoria será siempre una bendición.

It is with great sadness that we share the loss of our beloved Rodolfo De La Cerda who passed away on April 11, 2026, at the age of 75, in his home, leaving behind a legacy of love, generosity, and unwavering dedication to his family.

Born on July 28, 1950, in Piedras Negras, Mexico, Rodolfo, better known as Rudy, found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved spending time in the company of his loved ones, neighbors, and friends, often enjoying conversation or simply people-watching at one of his favorite nearby spots. He had a curious spirit and was an avid collector, fascinated by unique and interesting items such as coins, posters, photographs, books, and bottles. To him, everything held a story, and nothing was easily discarded.

From a very young age, Rodolfo began working to help support his family, a reflection of the strong work ethic and selflessness that would define his life. He was known by all who met him as a kind and generous soul, always ready to lend a hand or offer support to anyone in need.

Above all, Rodolfo was a devoted family man—a provider, protector, counselor, and constant source of strength and support. He worked tirelessly and always placed the needs of his family before his own.

Rodolfo is survived by his sons, Rodolfo De La Cerda and Roger De La Cerda; his daughter, Georgina Rodriguez; his sister, Irene De La Cerda Smith; and his brother, Porfirio Guillermo De La Cerda. He also leaves behind his eight beloved grandchildren: Victor, Denisse, Cassandra, Cynthia, Roger, Crystal, Darian, and Evan, as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, who will carry on his memory.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his legacy of kindness, resilience, and love will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Brookside Funeral Home-Cypress Cr, 9149 Highway 6 North, Houston, TX 77095, US, on April 20, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A Funeral Service will follow at Brookside Funeral Home-Cypress Cr, 9149 Highway 6 North, Houston, TX 77095, US, on April 20, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, with a reception to follow from 5:00 am to 7:00 pm.
