

Roger was born in a suburb of London to Muriel and Alec Gillan on October 14,1950.
As an only child Roger was educated in England, attending Ealing Grammar School and Isleworth Polytechnic.
He met his wife Mary, in 1975 after a short engagement of 14 yrs. They were married at Beaconsfield Registry Office on May 5, 1989.

He worked for BP at Sunbury on The Thames in research. Joined marketing division in London and then transferred to BP in Houston as Marine Fuels Marketing Manager following marriage. He worked and traveled extensively for BP for 30 yrs. and latterly worked for Chevron and Martin.He retrained himself as a Construction Manager working for Royce Homes, Perry and Greeneco.
He is survived by his wife Mary and two sons Dominic, age 21 attending The University of Texas and Toby, 16 a Junior Westside High School. He was extremely proud of his boys.
Hobbies included running and working out and was a long time member of the Westlake Club. He loved gardening, sunbathing , soccer referee for youth teams and was an avid Chelsea football fan.
He loved cats, and recently volunteered at CAPS. Loved all types all music including classical and country. Although a Brit, he loved living in Texas..
