The road trips to San Antonio were the best with Daddio.  He knew something about everything and always wanted to share. I would ride in the back and listen to him and Roland Jr discuss the world. It meant a lot to me to be a part of that. Without a doubt, there was always love exchanged.  No matter road trips but also in daily life, Daddio always wanted everyone to know how much he loved each and everyone of us. We love you too and you will be so missed. My thoughts and payers are with the family. Rest in peace Daddio

DAD!!! So the funeral is over and the dust is beginning to settle.  It sucks because I have found myself wanting to pick up the phone to call you on several occasions only to realize calling you in no longer an option.   I'm going to miss our phone calls and talking to you everyday sooooooo much!!  You were always my go to person when I just needed to vent or when I wanted to share random thoughts.  You were such a great listener and somehow you always found a way to relate to whatever it was I was saying which would lead to you sometimes taking over the conversationslol.  Today is my first day back at work, but I've broken down several times as my new normal sets in which has made getting any work done extremely difficult.  
When I think back at your life and all the stories you told I can't help to think if someone were to ask you what your greatest accomplishment in life was, your response would be your kids and the grandkids we gave you.   I say this because you often would tell me how you would talk about us and your grandkids to anyone who would listen, including strangers, and even brag to them about our accomplishments.  I remember being annoyed when you would tell me you talked to someone about me, but I was only annoyed because you always managed to exaggerate the facts and/or totally get them wrong all together.  Looking back I realize you were not exaggerating at all you were just telling your version of things and they were correct as you knew them.  You were very passionate when you spoke and you often got excited about the little things.  You were a proud DAD and an even prouder Popo.  
Thank you for all of our conversations that I will cherish forever and miss daily.  Thank you for always making time for me, for our movie dates, for our lunch dates, the times we spent randomly surfing youtube, the joke telling, the TMZ updates, the unsolicited advice, the unsolicited gossip, the shopping, the many laughs, and the many, many other great memories I have with you.  Thank you for loving me and supporting me always!!   Also thank you for the unconditional love you showed and gave my kids!! Jacob misses you dearly!!  
Thank you for praying for me, my siblings and your grandkids daily.  We know you are our guardian angel now and that you will live in our hearts forever.  I have comfort and peace knowing you are not in pain anymore, that you are in Heaven, and that we will see each other again one day.  Tell my MOM I said Hi and I miss her more today than yesterday!!!
One way I plan on keeping your memory alive in me, is by reciting your favorite prayer
GOD grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can and Wisdom to know the difference. Amen.

I remember our conversation about Family Feud how much we both loved it and how we knew all the times that it would come on. We had a few good laughs. Thank you for being so kind to me. Also thank you for Mercedes and your beautiful grandchildren. Praying for your family, may you rest in peace.

Cousin Boy...I want to take this time to say thank you for always being a great loving crazy cousin to me....Also thank you for being sooo good to my dad and especially my mom...my father loved u sooo much and that is why it was so easy to love you.We shared so many laughs and i will always cherish those memories..I remember when u came to san antonio n we went out to a bar for some drinks...but we werent even there 15min when we got kicked out because they thought we were drunk but in reality we were jus laughing sooo hard with ur crazy funny stories....im gona cherish popping bottles n popping fireworks on New Years Eve....Thank you for being there when i needed someone to talk to....I Love You Cuz....R.I.P....see you in my dreams....

Uncle Boy was always welcoming. Never a dull moment that I can remember. He seemed to always have a mischievous grin right before he created a moment. I am really glad to have got to meet him but also his wonderful family who always made my family feel welcome and at home. He would treat me like family every time I saw him. He will be missed!

Uncle Boyyy I'm going really miss you. I'm going to miss all the times you made me laugh. I'm going to miss all the times we would stay up all night playing video games when I stayed over at grandmas house. The Charactersitc trait that I most loved about you was that you always said what was on your mind. I love you Uncle boyyy. All praise to the most high and May you rest in peace .

I'm so lucky to have shared so many hilarious memories with my Uncle Boy. He was That Guy, the one you want to have a few beers with and hear some funny stories. No matter how many times he told the same story, he made it funnier than the last. He was always willing to give me advice, wise words and express how proud I had made him. I remember we all went to watch the Texans game; Uncle Boy had just put on his brand new Texans jersey he loved. As time past by I accidentally dropped my beer on him and he exclaimed very dramatically as he looked up at the ceiling, Son of a.why me. We all couldn't stop laughing; I had tears in my eyes. I love you Uncle Boy! You will truly be missed. Thanks for all the laughs, advice and love you showed Yanira, the kids and me. See you in the after life.

Uncle Boy, you left memories that I will take with me forever. All the jokes, laughs and unintentional quotes will put a smile on my face each time your name is mentioned. Your warmth and love for all was always so inspiring. I cannot thank you enough for always loving my babies so much. The time you spent with Jaylin will forever be embedded in his heart. You will always have a special place in mine. Love you always!

I did not know Roland well but he gave me two of the greatest cousins I could ever ask for. The few opportunities I had to hang out with Roland and his family, I learned quickly where Roland Jr and Christina had acquired their wittiness and charm. As a little girl I thought of him as the man that always took them away from me on the weekends as I would watch them happily run to their father in a hurry at their Grandmothers house in the Heights. However, my perception changed quickly as I learned he was a lot like Roland Jr when it came to loving to make people laugh AND like Christina with loving to have a lot of attention. 

Heaven will surely not lack entertainment with him there. Godspeed Mr. Roland Rodriguez!

To the Rodriguez Family: I am very sorry for the loss of your loved one. I have no doubt the services will be nothing but exceptionally beautiful. Please know I am with you in thought and prayer and always there with you through love. I love you Roland & Christina! God bless and you are all in my prayers.

Boy this is very hard for me to write. It's hard for me to know you will not be here every morning. Everyday I miss you so very much. I want to thank you for always being there for me, I want to thank you for making me laugh, I want to thank you for making me cry. I want to thank you for being there for my sons and my grandkids. I want to tell you that I am so proud to be your sister. It's going to be hard for me to get use to you not being here. I hated to see you suffering. I know you are in a better place now. I will always love you with all my heart.

Gosh,don't know where to begin, I was just lost with words when I found out about the sudden passing of the person ,I always knew as Boy ( father of our 2 children,Roland II and Christina ).My prayers and condolences go out to his children,his Mother and to the rest of the family, and may they all have the strength to get through this. On a happier note, I am so thankful for all the crazy memories I had with him,and believe me, we did a lot  of crazy things.One day, i'll have to share them, with whoever wants to know.Boy, was a great dancer,had a beautiful smile, but most of all, would crack everyone up with his stories. God saw that you were tired, you are no longer in pain and at peace and in a better place.To everyone in his life, you will always have a Guardian Angel watching over you. Love you Boy.

As my Brothers, sister and I grew up, Roland was not only our oldest brother, he was our role model, our teacher, and our friend. I remember the time when Roland worked at Grocery Supply when he was about 16 years old. My siblings and I were outside just hanging out when suddenly a big ol' Starksy & Hutch car came towards us. We couldn't really see who was driving but we knew whoever was driving could not see over the wheel. My license-less brother came out of the car not only to surprise us, but to surprise our mom. From then on we went to places like the local drive in, music festivals, and parks instead of us sitting at home. Today we remember Roland as a loving father, brother, uncle, and grandfather but today is not goodbye. Today is a day to reminisce about all those memories, all the love he so willingly he gave to each and every one of us. Today is not goodbye, today is see you later;So see you later Roland Lerma Rodriguez. We love and miss you and cannot wait to see you again someday.

My condolences and prayers go out to my cousin Boys family....He will forever be wit us in our hearts n everytime we think of him we will always remember his smile his laughter n the way he would make us laugh with all his stories and life experiences. ...may you have comfort knowing hes in a better place where he is no longer suffering. ...We love you cousin Boy ....until we reunite ...May God bless the entire family at this time.....
