Rongguo Xin

Rongguo Xin, age 62, passed away on October 27, 2024, at Kindred Hospital in Sugar Land, Texas. He was the beloved husband of Ling Wu, sharing 34 years of marriage.

Born in Nanyang, Henan, China, Rongguo was the cherished son of Ruixiu Jia and Jiekui Xin. He graduated in 1987 from China University of Petroleum (Huadong Campus) and began his career with China National Petroleum Corporation the same year. Over his distinguished career, he served as a petroleum engineer, project manager, and ultimately as vice chief engineer, making significant contributions to the industry.

Rongguo will be remembered for his kindness, easygoing nature, and unwavering support for those around him. His warmth and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

He is survived by his wife, Ling Wu; his son, Ruikun Xin; his daughter-in-law, Yuefan Huang; and his grandson, Yuyou Xin.

A funeral service to honor his life will be held on November 5, 2024, at 6:00 PM Central Time at Garden Oaks Funeral Home & Crematory, located at 13430 Bellaire Blvd, Houston, TX 77083. Interment will follow on November 8, 2024, at 9:00 AM Central Time at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077. Family and friends are invited to a viewing on the day of the service, from 12:30 PM to 7:00 PM Central Time.
