

Rosa L. Reyes Castillo, born in Cuba on August 30, 1934, went to Heaven on May 27, 2025, at the age of 90. A beloved and loving soul, Rosa shared her love and warmth abundantly, and her presence will be missed beyond words.
A skilled seamstress, she worked for many years at Gayle’s Boutique, where her meticulous craftsmanship touched many lives. She has now gone to Heaven to reunite with her husband, Humberto Castillo, and her beloved son, Bert Castillo.
Rosa's legacy continues through her daughter, Ani Frisa, and son-in-law, Edward Frisa, along with her cherished grandchildren, Matthew Frisa, Katherine Loushine and husband Greg Loushine, Cody Castillo and wife Lauren, and Tanner Castillo. She was blessed with five great-grandchildren, Nathan Frisa, Aubrielle Frisa, Lennon Loushine, Isabella Castillo and Jace Castillo, who will carry forward her memory. Rosa will also be dearly missed by her brothers and sisters: Daniel Reyes, Felipe Reyes, Juan Reyes, Miguel Reyes, Maria Sanders (Little Rejina) and Haydee Tatum, and their families, and the many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Rosa loved to crochet, tended to her garden with care, and savored time spent cooking and enjoying the beauty of nature. Her nurturing spirit was known by many names, including Mima, Rosa, Ana, Tati, Tia and Anita, always expressed with affection.
The funeral services for Rosa will take place at Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, located at 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas. Visitation with the family will be held on June 4, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, followed by a funeral service starting at 1:00 pm. The graveside service will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1101 Antoine Drive, Houston, Texas.
Rosa’s family extends their deep gratitude to the 911 Response Team, the doctors and nurses at Memorial Hermann Katy and Memorial Hermann Memorial City, along with the nursing team and doctors at Houston Hospice, for their loving care and compassionate support.
We will all miss her tremendously and she will be remembered and loved by all of us, always. Rest in peace, dear Mima, in God's divine embrace.
