Rosa Lopez Cavazos

Rosa (Rose) Lopez Cavazos age 77, was called home to our Lord, on August 1, 2024. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Reynaldo (Rey) Cavazos. Her children: Linda Haynes and husband Steve Haynes, Anthony Cavazos and wife Priscilla Cavazos. Her grandchildren: Sommer Garza, Amber Cervantes, and Kennedy Cavazos. Her brothers: Joe Carlos, John Campos, and Ani De La Cruz. Her sister: Anna Torres along with 8 great grandchildren. Rose was born on October 5,1946 in Taft, Texas. She moved to Houston in the mid 70's and later met her future husband, Rey in November 1977. Rose worked hard to obtain her nursing license. She was a proud nurse for many years and later switched careers to become a financial analyst for Primerica. Rose had many passions that included reading her Bible and attending church, family vacations, making floral arrangements, and spending quality time with family, friends and her two dogs, Duke and Splinter. Rose was forever grateful to be a recipient of a kidney-pancreas transplant. She was blessed to live for 29 more years. Her transplant anniversary on January 6th, was treated like a second birthday and was always celebrated with her family.Rose led an amazing life. She always said what she meant and meant what she said. Rose will always be remembered by her family and friends for her love, kindness, and being open-hearted. She will be truly missed.

A visitation for Rosa will be held Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston, TX 77003. A chapel service will be held that evening at 4pm at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo Navigation. A Funeral Service will take place Friday, August 9, 2024 at 10 am at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo Navigation located at 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston, TX 77003. A committal service will follow at 12:00 PM at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 8601 Almeda Genoa Rd, Houston, TX 77075.
