With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Rosa Arrieta Garcia, a devoted mother, grandmother, and pillar of strength, on 02/16/2026 at the age of 90.
Born on 08/17/1935 in Monterrey Nuevo León, Mexico, Rosa made the courageous journey to the United States as a young single mother, carrying little more than hope, determination, and an unwavering love for her children. In a new country, far from familiarity and comfort, she built a life through sacrifice, resilience, and faith.
As a single mother of ten children, Rosa dedicated her life to ensuring her family had opportunities she once only dreamed of. She worked tirelessly, often putting her own needs aside, so her children would never go without. Through long days and sleepless nights, she gave them not only food and shelter, but strength, values, and unconditional love.
Her home was filled with warmth, laughter, and the comforting aroma of home-cooked meals. She taught her children the importance of hard work, faith, respect, and unity. Her love was fierce and protective, her guidance steady, and her prayers constant.
Because of her courage and sacrifices, generations now stand on the foundation she built. Her legacy lives on through four generations of family, and all who were blessed to know her.
She is survived by her loving children: Alma Sosa, Irma Argueta, Leandro Sanchez, Olga Argueta, Hector Sanchez, Johnny Sanchez, Alexander Sanchez, Dario Sanchez, Lidia Medina, and Cynthia Sanchez, her cherished grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, extended family, and countless friends whose lives she touched with her kindness and strength.
Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort knowing her spirit remains with us — in our values, our traditions, and the love we share as a family.
