Rose Collette Prickett

Rose Bono Collette Prickett passed away May 28, 2015. She was born January 30, 1929, in Bryan, Texas to Jasper and JoVanna Bono. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Pauline Long and Virginia Long, brother Charles Messana, son Clifford "Ray" Prickett Jr. and son-in-law, Ben Miller.

She is survived by her sister Bernice Giacona, daughters Bernnadette and Danny George, Elizabeth Miller and Vicki and Doug Schmidt. Also by her grandchildren Norman Scott, Joe and Connie Scott, Michele Carter, Jacque and Bill Wagner, Teresa Jones, Christina and Jonathan Pettit, Douglas and Laura Burns and David and Jennifer Burns, 15 great-grandchildren.

She started her career as a nurse in 1961, working at Methodist, St. Luke's and Citizens General, all in Houston and Charity Hospital in New Orleans. She was also an immunization nurse at Casa De Amigos Clinic. Rose was considered the matriarch of her family. She never met a stranger and opened her door and heart to many through the years. Rose was loved by all who befriended her and will be deeply missed by everyone.
