Rosina H. Puleo

Rosina Helen Puleo, age 95, was born on December 9, 1916 in Cleveland, Ohio. She passed away peacefully on December 11, 2011 in Houston, Texas. Rosina lived in Euclid, Ohio until 1954 then moved to Russell from 1954 to 1979. She then spent some time in Carolina Shores from 1979 to 2002 before moving to Houston where she spent the last 9 years of her life. Rosina graduated from Collingwood High School, Class of 1934. In her early years, she worked as a seamstress. She found the love of her life and in 1941 married her husband Ignatius Puleo. Rosina settled in to home life and enjoyed raising her sons. She was a devoted member of the First Evangelic & Reform Presbyterian Church of Cleveland and was a proud member of the Cleveland Garden Club. Rosina enjoyed gardening, interior decorating, sewing, baking, golfing, and was a wonderful host to entertain her very near and dear friends. A special thank you to Doris Miller, sister-in-law and Patty Miller, cousin. Rosina was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Rosina Miller and brothers, Fred, Adam and Jake Miller. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Ignatius Puleo; sons, David and his wife Ann of Houston, Texas and Donald of Fort Meyers, Florida; grandchildren, Michael and his wife Lisa of Sebring, Florida, Jennifer and her husband Jeff of Powell, Ohio and Steven and Brent of San Diego, California; great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Madelynn Fullam. Serving as pallbearers, Michael Puleo, Jeff Fullam, Jeff Knowlton, and Paul Campbell. Visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 15, from 9 to 10 am at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home with the funeral service to begin at 10am. Burial will immediately follow with a procession to Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please send any memorial donations on behalf of Rosina Puleo and her family, to the American Heart Association.
