Full obituary forthcoming and will be announced at a later date.R.S. Archie Jr. (Robert), age 77, transitioned peacefully on August 2, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Born on October 3, 1947, in Huntsville, Texas, to the late R.S. Archie Sr. and Canzada Archie, Robert lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, **Elnora Pevy Archie**, and his cherished parents.

A proud graduate of **Sam Houston High School** in Huntsville, Class of 1966, R.S. was an active soloist in the Sam Houston Choral Club under the direction of Earl B. LaRue. In 1978, he earned a Certification in Upholstery from **Houston Community College**, a skill he proudly carried throughout his life.

R.S. dedicated his life to Christ at an early age at **First Missionary Baptist Church**, located at 1530 10th Street in Huntsville, under the leadership of Rev. J.R. Woodall. Later in life, he became a faithful and proud member of **Brookhollow Church Without Walls**, where he continued to grow in his faith and commitment to God.

R.S. loved God and his family above all. His presence was a steady source of love, wisdom, and strength. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

***Nieces and Nephews**: Lawrence Gilford Jr., Shawndrick McCall, Latoya Archie, Joseph Archie (Jessica), Richard Knot

***Preceded in death**: Nephew Shawn Gilford

He is also remembered lovingly by a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and close family and friends.

R.S. Archie Jr. will forever be remembered as a great father, a devoted brother, a man of deep faith, and a gentle soul with a heart for others. His legacy of love, strength, and devotion will live on in all who had the privilege to know him.

A memorial service for RS will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Paradise Funeral Home, Inc, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088.
