Rudy Vasquez

Rudy graduated from Jeff Davis High School. He later met Shirley in Houston, Texas and they married on August 30, 1955.

Rudy worked as an electrician for Southern Pacific for 13 years and Cameron Iron works for 40 years. He had a passion for his grand and great grandchildren. He enjoyed working on vintage radios.

He was proceeded in death by his beloved wife of 38 years, Shirley F. Vasquez; parents, Rudolfo and Celia Vasquez; sons, Denny Vasquez and Steven Vasquez; granddaughter, Ashley Vasquez; and grandson, Hunter Vasquez.

He survived by his son, Michael (Christy) Vasquez; daughter, Sharon Lyman and friend, Donna Gallemore; six grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; one great great-grandchild as well as a host of other family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Vasquez, James Vasquez, Cameron Lyman, Noah Vasquez, Hunter Vasquez, Chris Hampton, honorary pallbearers Manny Camarata, and Michael Cochran.

A visitation for Rudolph will be held Monday, May 5, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Cy-Fair Christian Church, 9730 Grant Rd, Houston, TX 77070. A funeral service is scheduled to follow and will begin promptly at 11:00 AM, Burial will take place at 1:00 PM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
