It's 2024 and I am just now learning of this.  I knew Russell when I was in high school and he was an adult with a house and a beautiful drum set.  We would go over and jam.  Russell was a great guy and a fun guy.  He was an entrepreneur at heart.  I am so very sad to hear this news.

I just now today tried to contact Russ and I guess being that I am way up in Dallas I was never contacted. I am so sorry for your loss and ours. He was a great man and he was an even better friend. His heart was huge and filled with love exspecially for his mother. I am so sorry for your loss but I am ever so happy for Heavens gain. I know that he is now doing what he loved the most and that is he is "flying high above us all and smiling"!!

My deepest heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your precious Russ.  He was and will always be the apple of your eye.  A mother's love for her child is never-ending and I know that those memories will help you through this difficult time.

Russell and I grew up in High School.  He was the leader of our band of misfits, always confident and outgoing.  He set a high standard for himself and taught all of us that we could become successful if we did not accept second-best.  I remember him best when we used to ride our bikes 10 miles to Andrau airpark to take flying lessons.  He also helped me get my first job at Valu-king, and did well when he worked at Weingardens.  We lost touch over the years, but his spirit will alway be with me and with the Bluestein family.
